Course dates and outline
The course includes two seven day blocks with a weekend off in the middle, based in and around a beautiful farm in Central Victoria. Below is a tentative daily timetable.
Friday Oct 26 5pm: Introductions
Oct 27 – Oct 29: Introduction to Permaculture, The Permaculture Design Process and Design Project Site Visits
Oct 30: Climate, Landforms and Patterns in Nature:
Oct 31: Water and Access.
Nov 1: Group design work
Nov 2: Trees. Site visit to David Holmgren and Su Dennett’s place in Hepburn TBC.
Nov 5: Soils
Nov 6: Crops
Nov 7: Animals. Site visit to David Holmgren and Su Dennett’s place in Hepburn TBC.
Nov 8: Alt-economics and Livelihoods
Nov 9: Appropriate Technology, Bioregions and Community Organising
Nov 10: Design time, and final presentations & party
Nov 11: Final day, where to from here and wrap up
Note: If you choose to camp, you’ll need your own camping gear. Otherwise you can organise your own accommodation in the area, such as in Hepburn.
