Course Dates 

The course includes two seven day blocks with a weekend off in the middle, based in and around a beautiful farm in Central Victoria. Below is a tentative daily timetable.

Autumn 2018

Friday Mar 9 5pm: Introductions

Mar 10 – Oct 12: Introduction to Permaculture, The Permaculture Design Process and Design Project Site Visits

Mar 13: Climate, Landforms and Patterns in Nature:

Mar 14: Water and Access.

Mar 15: Group design work

Mar 16: Trees. Site visit to David Holmgren and Su Dennett’s place in Hepburn TBC.

Weekend off

Mar 19: Soils

Mar 20: Crops

Mar 21: Animals. Site visit to David Holmgren and Su Dennett’s place in Hepburn TBC.

Mar 22: Alt-economics and Livelihoods

Mar 23: Appropriate Technology, Bioregions and Community Organising

Mar 24: Design time, and final presentations & party

Mar 25: Final day, where to from here and wrap up

Note: If you choose to camp, you’ll need your own camping gear. Otherwise you can organise your own accommodation in the area, such as in Hepburn.
